I heard the song More Beautiful today. While I’ve never had breast cancer, my husband and I had a miscarriage early in our marriage. Only weeks after we found out that we were pregnant I had to go into emergency surgery to have the remains of my baby removed. It’s been a hard couple of months. But my husband keeps telling me I’m more beautiful than ever. Thank you for your song. It brought home exactly what he was trying to tell me.

MORE BEAUTIFUL
Words & Music by Steve Siler
For better or worse, in sickness and health
We knew our vows and we said them so well
Sunshine and happiness were all we could see
And no one was ever more beautiful to me
We laughed and we loved, we ran and we played
It felt like heaven in the home that we made
Our lives were much sweeter than any dream could be
And no one was ever more beautiful to me
You changed everything
You taught me to smile
You brought a new start
You gave me joy untold
On the day you stole my heart
Then we learned that a child was coming to bless
With rocking chairs and teddy bears we feathered the nest
As life grew inside you we knew we’d be three
And no one was ever more beautiful to me
You changed everything
You brightened my world
You shone like a star
You made my life feel whole
On the day you stole my heart
Now I stand helpless and watch you in pain
I wish I could fix this, make it all go away
But here is the one thing that you must believe
No one was ever more beautiful to me
No one could ever be more beautiful to me

As a breast cancer survivor, I can tell you that the song More Beautiful brought comfort and healing to me, my family and to the many cancer survivors who are my patients. When I listen to your song a great weight is lifted off my shoulders. I can actually feel it happening.
